I’m genuinely shocked at the condition of this Aldi location on Nicholson Lane. The overall lack of cleanliness is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about food safety. First, there was expired food still on the shelves—well past the expiration date. Several vegetables were visibly rotting and clearly had been left there far too long. The meat section was the worst—the shelves were stained with what appeared to be blood, and it was clear no one has deep-cleaned that area in days, if not longer. One of the worst grocery stores I've been to. Everything is very low on stock, there is never more than a single cashier so the wait is very, very long, the grocery selections are pathetic, they don't even offer baskets to shop with, you need to rent a cart using a quarter, as if anyone carries quarters on themselves anymore, and they don't even give you bags to put your groceries in after you buy them. The staff here is wonderful please do not blame them for my following complaints. This is one of the worst Aldi's I have ever been to and corporate should take a look into this store. It probably wouldn't seem so bad but there's another Aldi's 2 miles up in Rockville that is way better than this one and really makes a question if classism if not racism is at play here.
