I completely understand that the whole point of Aldi is not having baggers or cart attendants so they can keep the store more affordable. I’ve been shopping here for years, so I understand the concept. But is customer service lacking also part of the concept? I forgot to bring a quarter, so I didn’t have a cart. While the employee was ringing up my groceries, I asked if I could borrow the cart for literally one second so I could bag my own groceries. One star for racism. 5 starts for produce, store cleanliness, and price. If you are black or arabic- avoid this place. Over the e course of 3 months we have been randomly coming in with different people to investigate these claims. It’s true. We had 25 people of various backgrounds and if you appear black or arabic, they will almost physically discriminate you racially. They don’t because it’s highly illegal, but cameras there don’t record audio so verbally it cannot be proven.
