Best prices, great staff, clean and plenty of parking
I really used to enjoy going to this Aldi, I could take my time and use the self-checkout to help make sure everything was in budget. Now the self-checkouts are gone and the cashiers are overworked and not careful at all. One of the cashiers at this location always tosses my groceries in a random cart with reckless abandon, mixing all my cold stuff and my shelf-stable stuff and smashing my bread. I had a completely unacceptable experience at the ALDI located at 799 Summit Street, Elgin, IL (Store #50). My cashier was ADRIANA. I was checking out three separate Instacart orders, which I had carefully organized ahead of time. From the start, she was extremely rude, impatient, and dismissive. She repeatedly rushed me even though she knew these were separate orders.
