I'm drinking beer and vodka since age 16. I'm 69 now. Stopped drinking alcohol in February 2019 !!!! At least 20 shots Vodka NIGHTLY !!!!!! Stopped drinking no problem and NO help from anyone. What I'm saying is that if you really want to stop , JUST DO IT !!!!! No legal trouble, no DWI , NOTHING. Just decided to stop that nonsense. If you need literature for your home group I highly recommend going to the SIA office instead of just ordering it online. The gentleman who helped me was so nice and helpful.
It's extremely disappointing that AA has changed It's preamble from men and women to people. You have to wonder why after all these years AA is catering to one side.
