I like the store, it’s very cute, but just know that returns are a problem. I bought a $250 necklace & was not told that there were no returns on certain items (so annoying, as I have a strict rule to never buy anything that’s final sale) but I did receive a gift card. However the shop was about to close down (in playa vista) which they were well aware of, so now I am forced to either be out the money or drive to Newport to recoup my $250 store credit. Scammer alert! I pointed to clothing when I was in the store and asked whether the store sold gift cards which could be applied to clothes. I was given an unambiguous yes, and purchased two gift cards. Later, the cashier revealed to the recipient of the gift cards that most of the clothing displayed in the space was *not* eligible for gift cards, as it is part of a separate shop within the same physical store. Review is for Doen which shared same retail space, the dark hair, Asian or Latina sales associate was very rude and racist. I shop quite often at Doen online and in-store, went to this shop a couple times, whenever this Asian or Latina sales associate was there, she always found a way to show that you’re not welcomed to shop there. I’m not one to leave reviews, but the women who work this place truly ruined my day. I run an instagram page highlighting the best Orange County spots, and I’ve always loved this shop. It’s hard to leave without wanting something! So I spent my morning at Herst (love), and walked over to the shop intending on making a post for my page highlighting all the great stuff. Im not one to write a negative review, I never have. But the service at this shop is the worst I’ve ever experienced. The younger girl in the other section of the store was so sweet! But the two older ladies working the main floor had no class what so ever. Definitely not the type of employees that represent Newport Beach!! I’ll spend my money somewhere else! Do not waste ur time supporting this business.
