Airports are airports, but Albuquerque has quick security checks and low number of gates so navigating is easy. Staff are either friendly or friendly-for-an-airport. Parking is easy, the long term parking garage may be a little pricey ($12 a day currently) but it is a short (5-10 min) walk, more if mobility issues, away. Only downside is that all of the businesses are closed by 9pm so late night travelers have limited options for food/drink.
No food choices. Everything is under construction. Comfy chairs though.
They've done such a great job with the development of this airport! Flew out from there twice this month and it's such a pleasure.
If I could give it less than a star I would. We had an awful experience. Arrived after midnight because our flight was delayed and no one was at the car rental counter to give us our vehicle. Came back the next morning and our car had been rebooked and the cost went from 900 to 1800. Manager Victor was unapologetic and unwilling to help. Rent at your own risk. I am very easy to please and this was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had.
