Terrible experience with the government here in Alberta. Professional male who got laid off and has been trying to get shelter or other support and have been just thrown around to different phone numbers. I don't have any addiction or mental problems and are asking for a place to stay but all the shelters seem to be ones with open beds and if you have a pet you have to have them in the kennel next to you. Treat the workers the way you want to be treated. You are not entitled to momey. It takes work, paperwork, Dr appts. I found my experience really easy and the human beings were extremely helpful
While people are starving, they make you wait on hold for hours, make rude and presumptuous comments and then threaten with "would you like me to make you wait another hour?" ... if you say something like- Why would you assume that?" And then they hang up on you. Make sure your phone is fully charged and have a charger near by. As you will likely need to recharge or stay plugged in... Well I am only getting 959 a month and that does not go far when you got bills and rent to pay and what is left is not even enough to get food so with the econmy they should at be more honest to the people instead of only giving 959 a month
