Oct 8 2025 If you need to exchange currency DO NOT GO HERE. It appears their main line of business is buying and selling of coin, gold or silver bars and other items. I went to exchange currency and only 1 person working the front. After a half hour of waiting I left. I seen another girl at the front but obviously not to help customers. I will go back to using PrimeFX in westwinds area to do currency exchange, they are cheaper and their fees are included on your exchange. Was lied to and very unfriendly customer service over the phone
I have been coming to AlbernCoins for many years. They are courteous, knowledgeable and take the time to explain and advise when asked. I am a seller and not a collector and they treat me very fairly when valuing the items. It always feels like a safe pleasant place to do business. Many thanks to the kind and professional staff that work there.
The experience with Albern coins is absolutely ridiculous. They treat everyone like a criminal and asks questions that I was never asked before when I went to other coins shop like Canada Gold. They want your SIN if you’re selling metals with them, which was never asked for when I was dealing with Canada gold, and that is something I am completely uncomfortable with giving to strangers.
