The experience with Albern coins is absolutely ridiculous. They treat everyone like a criminal and asks questions that I was never asked before when I went to other coins shop like Canada Gold. They want your SIN if you’re selling metals with them, which was never asked for when I was dealing with Canada gold, and that is something I am completely uncomfortable with giving to strangers. I've been exchanging Canadian to U.S. dollars for 15 years,when I am travelling and have never encountered such abusive questioning. For an $11,000 exchange, I was asked for two forms of ID, my workplace, my destination, and even how I saved the money. This felt ridiculous. I told them I wasn't stealing; I work hard for my money.
