Basel was the best tour guide we could have asked for! He was highly knowledgeable, very personable, and good sense of humor. We got to see a mama bear and two cubs, and even he was excited! I love seeing people loving what they do. Great time, would go again!
We booked this as a cruise excursion. Cari was great! Fun, knowledgeable and clearly loved her job. The apprentice wood carver was fascinating and shared a lot of information. The forge was very interesting as well. We saw eagles and bears! The only negative was our bus driver talked all about himself and his wife - even a bit off colour at times.
What an amazing day, guides that really get you involved in the walk. Black bears roam this area freely, so they keep you in a group. If you pay for the guided walk, you get access to the boardwalk and see craftsman like the blacksmith and wood craving.
