Jake was our tour guide and he was wonderful! We learned so much about the rainforest, from the plants to the animals. He licked a slug We did not see any animals other than birds on this trip but we did see claw marks from bears on a few trees. We also got to learn about totem poles which I found very interesting 🤔 If you're into nature, local Alaskan culture, and want to learn about the rainforest take this tour!

I went the summer in may of 2024, LOVED IT. I wanted to write a review right there and then, didn’t have internet. I PUT A ALARM ON MY PHONE saying “write a nice review for Alaska rainforest sanctuary and mention Kristen” Kristen as the BEST tour guide I’ve ever had EVER, we found a banana slug and had a really fun time watching Salmon swim around. EASIEST 5 STARS EVER.

My husband and I had an amazing time here!! We saw so much wildlife from eagles to bears. We had a great time and I highly recommend hiking here if you’re in the area.

Blake and Lexi were the best guides anyone can ask for. Very knowledgeable on everything in the forest and totems. We started off with a walk around the build shops as Blake explained the history of the totem designs. We were lucky enough to meet Kevin, who builds these. It was really cool to understand the meaning of the designs and see all the tools it takes to make one. They have a blacksmith on-site who actually makes most of the tools they use.
