Our group of nine arrived 49 minutes before our Alaska Airlines flight at the Idaho Falls airport—just one minute past the bag check cutoff. The airport was empty and calm, and it was clear that helping us would have taken minimal time or effort. Easily the worst experience in all of my travels. Lost baggage, understaffed to the point that the airport appears empty, incredibly difficult customer service requiring many phone calls. Zero stars

After a delayed mother's Day flight, I would expect a modicum of compassion from the employees at both the ticketing counter and TSA. However, the people here are not interested in being helpful, the TSA agent joked about my delayed flight (6am becoming 4pm) by saying "go get some breakfast and lunch". Don't quit your day job dude. Some people operate on policies of timeliness and respect.

2023: Unfortunately Boise didn't work out. However, the flight to and from Seattle is now served by a Embraer 175 aircraft. Quieter, jet engines; in flight wi-fi, entertainment, and larger overhead bins, first class cabin, are some of the new benefits over the old Q400 aircraft. In my February visit, great service at the check in counter for a checked bag, (pickup on inbound flight too) TSA, boarding gate agent interaction. Now available to Boise, effective June 16, 2022.
