Alaska Airlines NEVER AGAIN. Not at all happy with the boarding process on this airline. My first and definitely my last time flying Alaska Airlines...I will stick with United even at a premium. After strongly coercing more than 20 passengers to check their bags at the gate, the gate attendant decides that wasn't enough and grabbed the bags of practically everyone in the last 3 boarding groups. Without a doubt, the worst of the worst. It’s like Spirit, but way more expensive. The customer service at the counter is terrible—rude and unprofessional. Honestly, avoid it. You’re much better off flying United or American.
I had a very stressful and disappointing experience on my flight from Houston to Portland with Alaska Airlines. The staff at the airport did not properly understand or check the travel documents and tickets. My child was not correctly listed in the booking, and we were told we could not proceed without a ticket for the child. When I tried to explain the situation and show the documents, the staff were not helpful and did not try to solve the issue. Instead, the process took a long time and even delayed boarding.
