Without a doubt, the worst of the worst. It’s like Spirit, but way more expensive. The customer service at the counter is terrible—rude and unprofessional. Honestly, avoid it. You’re much better off flying United or American.
I had a very stressful and disappointing experience on my flight from Houston to Portland with Alaska Airlines. The staff at the airport did not properly understand or check the travel documents and tickets. My child was not correctly listed in the booking, and we were told we could not proceed without a ticket for the child. Alaska Airlines – Houston (IAH) Honestly, save yourself the frustration and bad moments. This feels like flying Spirit, but three times more expensive. The customer service is, without a doubt, one of the worst. My experience here at the airport only confirmed my conclusion: it’s not worth it. If you have the option, fly with American or United instead. What Alaska offers here doesn’t justify the price or the hassle.
