When at baggage claim after flying into MCI with AK airlines. Ak air has no help desk when claiming baggage there is ONE discrete agent you’ll have to track down to help or run upstairs to departures (where it’s a hit or miss if the desk is open). Also of note when flying with a pet in cargo the pet is zip tied in the kennel. Before all the changes this would be an automatic 5 stars for me. Southwest used to be different and not it’s just another airline. Raising rates at insane spikes, assigned seating, no free bags. It’s so sad seeing so much go. The staff is still amazing and they didn’t get rid of the good pretzels. I’m hopeful they’ll find a way to stand out again.

Just a heads up, the desk is NOT open 24 hours a day, keep this in mind if you arrive early and if you need additional assistance call ahead or pick a different airline

You can not pick seats unless you pay $65 for A CHEAP SEAT. Will not book again with Alaska/ Hawaiian Airlines again….. Cathy Pacific is my next trip
