I researched this company before booking for our holiday from Australia to Germany and unfortunately had the worst experience. We rented a car from their Munich Airport branch and returned it in the exact same condition we received it - with no visible damage. Yet the very next day, we were billed €2,180 for a supposed “minor scratch” that we had never seen. Person collecting the car as I returned it was quite rude. Couldn’t even wait for me to get my handbag out of the car and wouldn’t listen when I was explaining it was attached to drivers headrest and he was in the way. Rude … he could have waited 2 minutes especially when I was dropping car back at 3.30 pm and it wasn’t due back until 9.30am the next day.

Alamo staff are fantastic, however car was not roadworthy as front tyres were worn and slid in the wet. Thankfully no accidents, but at around 40k kms they should've changed the tyres. Collrctuin and Drop off offsite is a big pain at Sydney domestic, as you need any extra hour either way. So Alamo, please sort out your working assets and ensure they are safe!
