My experience at the Rhinelander, Wisconsin Alamo rental car desk at the airport was quick and convenient. However… I was very disappointed that the minivan I had reserved was not available even though my rental reservation was made probably two months before my arrival. While the clerk explained that I had been “upgraded“ to a Buick enclave, I explained I reserved a minivan because I needed a minivan. Not sure why they would want me to review after a horrible experience. We shall see how they attempt to deal with it, then I will come back and update. Late night, rainy all week, wipers did not work properly, 47,000 mile Durango full of dog hair that my wife and daughter had to suffer in all week. And they only had one other car that was way too small to accommodate us. Totally unacceptable by anybody's standards...
We had a good experience renting from Alamo. I would choose them and feel comfortable that it would be a good experience.
