VERY UNPLESANT EXPERIENCE, ARRIVED LATE SEPT.30, THE ATTENDANT ASKED WHAT KIND OF CAR I SAID TIRED AND WANTING TO GET TO MY DESTINATION SUV, HE THAN BROUGHT THE CAR TO US SINCE THERE NONE AVAILABLE. I have rented from Alamo my last two trips from California to Ohio picking up the car at the Dayton, Ohio airport. They are a pleasure to deal with. The staff is fast, friendly and efficient. No long lines here. I have had such bad experiences with Hertz and some of their lower budget companies that I was very frustrated thinking about having to rent a car. Alamo is great. This was our first time using Alamo at Southwest Regional Airport in Ft Myers, FL. We are Alamo Insiders and used the online check-in and skipped the counter and went right out to garage and selected our car. We had a standard car, and the car was fine, with some minimal damage/scuffs on the outside. I specifically filled out all my info online, expecting to be out the the garage a bit quicker...but was asked the same questions from the attendant that I filled out online. What a great place and a very nice people, it's a very tiny airport and the Alamo counter is just right there. Getting a keys took about 2 minutes, they just told me where to find a car in the parking lot, since I opted for a "manager special" I got much MORE car that I wanted. Turns out manager special means you will be upgraded to a van or a big SUV. I really appreciate how professional and friendly people at Alamo were . Thank you

I love Alamo in Denver International Airport. Unfortunately if you want to rent from Alamo in Akron Canton Airport and pick up at say 7:00 in the evening, save yourself a step and rent from National, that is who the Alamo sign on the unmanned desk will send you to. And even worse, this last time National did not have my Alamo information! I suppose I should be glad they did not send me to Enterprise....
I have used Alamo numerous times at the Southwest Reguonal Airport and have always had a great experience, have never waited more than 5 minutes to check in and I like the fact that you can choose any car in their inventory in your specific rental category. Convenient location, directly across the street from the airport and they open super early if you have to return the car for an early flight. Shuttle from the airport doors to the doors of the rental place was very convenient. The rental process was quick and I love that 'I' get to pick my vehicle. ..closing the contract was quick and easy too! Thanks!
I am so loyal to Alamo, that I should probably be ranking it a 5 star.But there's always room for improvement. For instance, it would be nice if the fee to bypass the toll booths in Chicago could be reduced to $3 per day. There is actually a savings by not going through a toll booth, but unless you're continuously on a Chicago toll road most of the day, you won't make back the $7.99 fee. So, Alamo, how about it? How about making this extra so worth while that we can't resist it?
