The sea bass and service was top shelf. Unfortunately the packaged portobello mushroom caps I was to stuff with the sea bass with were over ripe and had to be replaced with some from safeway.
AJ’s used to be a regular lunch spot for me because of their freshly made sandwiches, prepared sides, and soups. Over the past year, I’ve noticed a decline in the quality, selection, and service. Earlier this year, they replaced their artisan bread with smaller, supplied loaves. The sandwiches seem nearly half the size, while the prices have increased. Bought 3 steaks from the butcher, 2 good cuts, and got a cheaper rib eye cut., and by the time we got to cooking them later in the evening, saw that he charged me for the top of the line Filet per pound price, not the lower end rib-eye per pound price for the cheaper rib-eye, that I ordered and he gave me. So, basically charged us way over the price of what the steak should have been priced at by $30+. ridiculous.
