Love the fresh teas and cheese cake Great service
I like to shop at AJ's but two issues come to mind. First, the peanut butter cookies used to be buttery and had a great peanut butter flavor. Now they're a totally different cookie, dry and tough. Next issue is the sushi. We love the salmon sushi-plain salmon with rice @ $10.00 per tray. On two occasions I've found no salmon sushi in the case so I've asked if they have one made or can make one for me. Response: We will make a tray for you but will have to charge you an extra $5.00. I was disappointed with the Carrot Cake this time. I expected it to be the 4 layer carrot cake, but it turned out to be the 2 layer. The cream was too much, the icing on one side slide down. Not as rich as it used to be with more nuts and carrots. If I wanted the simple 2 layer carrot cake, I would have gone somewhere else where they don't charge me $20 for a carrot cake like this.
I had not been here for a few years, and today I stopped in after a hard day at work, looking for a nice bottle of wine. I have never been treated so rudely as I was tonight! Their wine specialist was the rudest man I have ever met!
Called in to ask about having flowers put in my antique reproduction epergne. I got cut off immediately and told, "we don't do antiques!" I had to wait patiently while the snob finished her diatribe to explain I was NOT bringing an antique glass flower holder in. I went elsewhere and avoid the snotty florists every time I go in. I made an exception at Halloween because an artificial spray was unmarked...I got a huge...SIGH... and the florist let me know she was completely annoyed at being interrupted.
