We had an outstanding experience with Air Nootka. At the tail end of our backcountry trip along the Hesquiat Peninsula, I injured my hand — not an emergency, but serious enough that our group wanted to get me out early. Through satellite communication, our emergency contact reached the Air Nootka team, who immediately moved up one of our flights at no additional cost. We had an amazing experience with Air Nootka on the Historic Mail Run today! Our pilot, Scott, was outstanding! Professional, friendly, and highly skilled. He made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire flight while providing a lot of informations about the passing scenery as well as a smooth and enjoyable journey. Chartered a plane here for our trip on the Nootka Trail. The admin was very accommodating. I especially liked the ability to reschedule our return trip using a Garmin inReach — it was incredibly convenient. The pilot was professional and skilled, providing great info and updates about the area during the flight, and landing the plane smoothly. Highly recommended service!
Extraordinary Experience! Pure blind dumb luck led us to Air Nootka on the site of the Aerodrome, just south of Gold River. The "Historic Mail Flight" ad caught my attention and I ventured into the office. Amiable Angela was a wealth of information on the different tours offered.
