Here's my unbiased review since other reviews seem to be locals. Made me feel uncomfortable with just seeing a sign into the parking lot stating, "No semi parking." Some snobbish attitudes by people who think they don't smell. I'm a traveler, I see a lot of good and bad. I have found friendlier synagogues around the area. Be aware of supporting and donating to the false prophets. Agudas Achim is a small town synagogue with a warm heart in a progressive growing university setting. The congregation is well established with a lovely recently built multifunction synagogue and community center. Rabbi Esther Huggenholz provides warm intellectual and socially inclusive active leadership to the community as well as the congregation.
Beautiful congregation with dual Reform / Conservative affiliation. Welcoming, affirming to Jews of all backgrounds, and to seekers and anyone curious to learn more. Agudas Achim hosts a great Intro to Judaism class for anyone interested in giyur/conversion or in simply learning about Judaism. Great activities for families, groups to study and celebrate, and a devoted commitment to building community.
