This union does not represent its members. They will take your dues but refuse to file a grievance when you need it. The phone reps are rude and lie to you to avoid representing you. They still your dues plain and simple.
Afscme is the WORST union ever. They do absolutely nothing for the employees. Only worried about your dues. I want the hell out. U can't even get them to file a grievance since they work for management. Such a waste of money
AFSCME does not work for you or help you they just want $$ from your paycheck. Do not waste your time on a grievance even if you are doing higher level duty work because NOBODY CARES ! It's all about the $$. They do not want you to make anymore because then that is less for them
