This has been the worst year of my life with this company. Charges 11 dollars to pay your payment. Switched jobs and called to see if they could help me with my monthly payment so we agreed to break the coming up monthly payment into 3 installments over the next three payments. I paid them all but they stated I was 90 days past due and out my truck for repossession and have reported me 90 days past due on three months to the credit bureau. Worst ever. I made an over payment on my car loan. Instead of applying that to my principal, they applied it to the next months payment. I thought my payment went down, so I made another payment the following month for the same amount. This ended up being a short payment. Instead of contacting me to get it figured out, they waited until day 31 and hit me with a late payment on my credit report and nobody would help. Now it has affected my credit score. Shame on you. I have had 3 auto loans and 1 personal loan with AFFCU. I have never had a problem with AFFCU. This is the best credit union that I have ever done business with.
If you like being treated like you are garbage then by all means do business with them. Their payment system is out dated and their customer service leaves LOTS to be desired. DON'T DO IT!!!
Anywhere but here, especially for auto loans. They make it so you can't pay your auto-loan from your regular bank account, you have to make an account with them and pay it through that account only. So you already use two direct deposit accounts you will have to drop one to make sure you put money in their account to pay your loan. If you want control of your money, meaning pay your payment when you know you have money, usually after you get paid from work, they will charge you an additional 3.00 for a statement that ever... read more
