I’ve had a terrific experience getting my PPL with Aero Elite. They have a great group of very skilled instructors that truly seem to to have your best interest at heart. I trained and flew out of their Friendly, MD location, Potomac Airfield (KVKX). It’s a great airport with a real sense of camaraderie amongst the staff and pilot community. I can highly recommend them without reservation!
If you go on the website, it states ”40 Hours to get a private pilots license”. I am at around 100 hours with no sign of finishing. When I mentioned this to my instructor (Alex). I told him that I felt like they were taking my wallet for a ride and I expect to finish soon, at a reasonable price and reasonable timeline. He ended up dropping me as a student. I am not a perfect pilot but I would like for the instructors to be somewhat invested in passing students.
As a former employee, I have nothing but great things to say about this flight school. The owner truly cares about the employees, and wants to see the students succeed in a safe and timely manner. I highly recommend the school as a student or flight instructor. Even during the winter months, I flew a lot. Thank you for a great experience.
I was a little apprehensive about going to an independent flight school. But after one afternoon with these guys, they had me feeling right at home. They took me around to see their entire fleet and after some short paperwork, they took me up for a discovery flight.
