I didn't think I needed the Advocacy Center but I was wrong. They offered suggestions I wouldn't have thought about as far as preventing another attack. They were also there for court dates and support through all of them. But most of all, the group counseling, which again I didn't think would be beneficial for me, really helped me talk through everything that happened, realize I wasn't alone, and gave me strength to end the relationship. Please reach out when you need help. You are not alone!
I was homeless all winter going back to an abuser and they helped me none. I wonder why is this place even open when they literally do nothing for people that need help. I wonder are the people working here being paid or volunteer? No help whatsoever and I got an I'm sorry.
