I was impressed by being able to actually talk and see people in person at Advia in Woodstock and Crystal Lake. People there are very friendly and it felt more like the banking experinces I had in childhood. That's just what I was looking for! In the digital age, we are losing the very ingredient that keeps the connection going strong. I'm glad that at Advia at least, we can continue to enjoy past experiences that involve 1 to 1 encounters and engagement with other people.

The customer service, both over the phone and in-person (at multiple locations not only Woodstock), is exceptionally bad. I'm not sure if this is due to nepotistic hiring practices or just an abysmal human resources department. But, the incompetence of the employees is consistent and very frustrating. It is obvious that the Advia Board has little to no interest in its members' welfare. Additionally, Advia's implementation of sketchy third-party apps like Plaid makes banking there even more unpalatable.
