While Adventure Rentals has many positive reviews and presents itself as a reputable company, our family’s experience after returning a vehicle was unfortunately very different. I’m sharing this to help future customers protect themselves from a similar situation. Decided the evening before I wanted a vehicle. Rang, got Vicky (the owner) Sorted Collected Easy to return.
We booked a car with adventure car rentals for a single day to drive the track to Raspberry flat car park. Vicky was so helpful through the whole process, from helping us to secure the last suitable car available the evening before, and providing great advice for how to drive the track safely when we picked the car up. The whole process was so smooth, working out much better value and more flexible than a transfer, and we had an amazing day out on the Rob Roy Track.
To Vicky and the team ,we are so greatful for your help when we Broke down in wanaka, Vicky went above and beyond after hours , within 15 minutes after our phone call for help vickys Husband came straight away to pick us up and get us back to adventure rentals ,you had the perfect vehicle picked for us ,from that moment our holiday was stress free and made beautiful memories ,we would definitely use adventure rentals Wanaka again and recommend them to everyone. Booked a car 3 MONTHS AGO for my trip to Queenstown, and this disaster of a company has completely ruined my plans. First, they ask me to change the car I originally reserved because they "overbooked." Fine, whatever, I reluctantly agree. Then, TWO DAYS before my hire date, they tell me the car I was supposed to get is now "crashed" and there's no replacement available. No backup options. No apology.
