Watch out if you have a state ID you will get charged a "local" fee of 20 bucks per day EXTRA! NONE of which is disclosed on any off the travel websites such as hotwire, Expedia, kayak, etc. So your total per day on these websites is NOT your actual total you pay to get the car. It's just a surprise extra fee when you show up to pick up your car. It can easily double the cost of your car rental. Will NOT use Advantage again.

The District Mgr. Ivan called to let me know I needed to turn the rental car in and I explained that my car was not yet fixed. He mentioned that he would give me the same rate but when Jouse helped me it seemed up selling was the most important aspect of helping me...The first young lady was so helpful and Javier came thru in the end. I'm a Vocational School Director and was dressed down because I was out with the CDL class. I won't say what I think but Jouse was not rude. He wasn't just very helpful.

I am very disappointed with the customer service at the El Paso Airport . we walked up to the desk and he was very rude to us. He couldnt even make the effort to try to help us. Yes we needed a copy of the insurance. We wanted to ask a simple question he rudly denied to answer. I am very disappointed in the way advantage has made my trip a very unpleasant situation with the way this representative represented your company. His name is Ignacio Elizondo. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!! We booked on line and when we arrived at the desk was told our reservation was released after 4 hours... Never have I had this happen before - and worst of all we were left 'stranded' without a car. Luck for us one of the other companies had a vehicle available - but at a much higher price. Oh yea, injury to insult - the gal at the desk was very curt and rude.

When you make a reservation to get a car and spend an hour trying to pick up said car, but leave without a car because of a faulty system, I believe that deserves 1 star. I was able to walk several desks down and rent a car from Enterprise for more money, so it wasn't a credit card thing. It was that Advantage Rent-A-Car is, in my mind, a failure at what they do. I used Advantage for a recent trip to Denver. I was in a hurry but yet had to wait as the shuttle driver made two laps around the airport and the driver stopped and stood outside for a few minutes. When I got to the agency there was a long line of people and I ended up waiting in line for a long period. They tried to upsell the rental after I told them I was in a hurry. I needed a luxury vehicle and they plenty to choose from!! got the one I wanted even in the color I wanted!! Located at the sunport so they pretty much always open, will rent from Hertz again
