I read that Adrianne Mathiowetz was doing portraits at a writers’ conference in Baltimore. Curious, I visited her website to view her work. By the time I finished reading through it, I wanted to move to Boston so we could be friends. Or, at the very least, have her take my picture. Intrigued, I signed up. Adrianne took wonderful author photos of me at AWP in Baltimore that made me feel empowered and I looked hot as hell. Highly recommend, she took my insecurities into consideration and made me feel comfortable in front of the camera.

Adrianne was excellent at making me feel comfortable and capturing me from different angles, with different expressions, etc. She wants you to express your true self, not some cookie cutter image that looks like all the others. Adrianne was friendly and relatable but also very professional, making it clear what I could expect and then providing it in an efficient and timely manner, exceeding my expectations for the quality of the photos and the entire experience.

Adrianne was awesome to work with during the session and the photos turned out amazing! I usually feel so awkward, not knowing what to do with my hands or face during photos. She helped me feel at ease and the photos really look like me (and not posing awkward me).
