I was referred to Dr. Stella (Xiao Gao) Jiang by a friend who hugged me tight, paused, and said, "you need to get grounded. Go see Stella." This isn't a "get poked and left alone in the dark to marinate in crashing waves" type of acupuncture treatment. Through conversation and listening to my body, Stella gave me such an intense full-body calm; it's honestly difficult to describe. Equal parts therapy, empathy, Eastern medicine and optimism, I leave feeling like I have shed unwanted parts of me. Secure, grounded, I am enough.
