I cannot recommend Across Australia Removals. My experience was nothing short of disgraceful. • I was quoted one price, only to be forced into a ridiculous negotiation at my home about what counted as an “entertainment unit” or “outdoor setting.” • The removalists turned up at 3:00 pm to pack up an entire house, which meant the job dragged on into the night and was carried out in darkness. • Several of my possessions were badly damaged: my washing machine was completely destroyed, my fridge was damaged after being forced dow... read more
Please give us back the $329 unreturned good from the moving that you guys subtracted to A1 Newcastle Removalist. This is regarding the AUD 10k that we paid for moving our 3- bedroom house. Hope 4 months is long enough for you guys to make a short call to A1 Newcastle Removalist.
I don’t often review services… but I was really impressed with these guys. We did a true backload of about 5-6cbm from Sydney to Adelaide. Their price was really outstanding compared to three other quotes from backloading companies (who seemed to just be wanting to provide a Removalist service and charge premium). I read somewhere on the reviews that they were real cowboys, so I was holding my breath a bit! But they took proper care of all of our things. This is almost the first time in my life that I have to write negative review. We paid over $10k for moving 3-bedroom house stuff from Newcastle to Brisbane. I am not really happy with the service. Two trucks come to load but somehow they packed into one truck. I don’t know whether this cost we paid was overestimated. When the stuff was transported to Brisbane, ONLY two people including the driver unpacked our stuff which they charged for over $10k transportation cost. Used this company for a backload job from SA to NSW. Everything went fine to start with - quote provided, booked in the time, communication good. The subcontractor they used from Whyalla to Adelaide (in transit, I guess) was great. Then.....the subbie doing the Adelaide to NSW leg called before uploading to shake down for more money because the job wasn't what he thought it would be (AAR quoted, mind you, and there had been no problem with the initial load).
