We had not rented in a very long time. Renting has not changed for the better. No real standard Acorn & Oak protocol for showing properties. Appeared to be done per agent. One agent showed properties one on one, others used a cattle call type with many prospective renters at once; not a great way to get questions answered. As for management, the owners as well as former tenants (we didn't know which) left all kinds of personal items in the house. Very disappointed in Acorn + Oak Property Management follow-up. We viewed a property with one of their associated, filled out the application, paid the application fee, and have not heard any feedback from them. Called the office, emailed, and texted them for feedback. When we called the office and explained the situation, we were told that the associate in question would be notified and contact us. Still waiting.

I'm a roofing vendor for Acorn + Oak Properties. I Amazon impressed with the communications and follow-up on repairs and estimates given. Danny Reynolds, Maintenance Coordinator, is on top of it! Hired Acorn & Oak Property Management via Adam Hedrick to manage my home at 5129 Obion Court, Raleigh, NC 27616 in 2015. Initially, Adam rented the home for $300 less than market value to keep it rented stating that, because I was a student and couldn't afford two mortgages. Contract states the property manager is to represent the landlord, me, only and not the tenants, this has not happened. I am now going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well as the State Attorney General. I will be sending them photos of the condition of my home and yard as provided to me by the people who purchased my home and by the City of Durham who threatened to site me because of the mess outside my home. Even after I pointed this out to you the tenants did not clean up the yard. They picked up the trash perhaps but did nothing to take care of the yard itself. It remained overgrown and out of control.
