I am a regular Performer to the Acorn Nursing Home. I love coming here to entertain the Residents. They engage really well, they are happy and settled. The Staff are amazing and there are always more staff on shift than the required Quota which adds a lot more personal touches. The Management and Care Team always join in the sing a long and the overall care is second to none. Always a pleasure, see you all.again soon Dave x
I would just like to give my opinion on the care received by my brother who has been in the Acorn now for nearly 7 years - he has been looked after and cared for by all the staff in there at all times, I know he can be very trying and demanding at times yet he’s always been treated with kindness and compassion. My mum is having respite here, the staff have been so lovely, she is happy and content. Today was quiz and cupcake day so I took my grandson in to see her, the cakes were pretty fantastic. Thank you all for the care you are giving to my precious mum. 💞
My father has been at the Acorn Nursing Home for over four years now. In all this time he has received excellent care. He is now bedridden as he is now on end of life, if it wasn’t for the staff at the Acorn for there love and care for my father he would have passed away a long time ago. If he is ill we get a call saying when the doctor or nurse is due to see him. This home is run to upmost respect for the residents and family my dad was there for a number of mths was so happy rooms cleaned daily fresh bedding too they have a standard of care towards residents second to none all home cooked meals with a choice of menus as to a review I have read I understand that your grieving for your lost family member but don't knock the home and as your mother should know by working in care so many elderly losses weight very quickly so did my dad BUT NOT DUE TO LACK OF CARE FROM YHE HOME hygiene s... read more
