I have been living a doorknob nightmare after a key broke off inside my lock. After unsuccessfully trying to replace the doorknob myself and making things even worse, I finally decided to take my completely messed up doorknob into Ace Hardware. Austin Baker went above and beyond. He had the knowledge and patience to completely disassemble the entire doorknob, remove the broken key that was jammed inside, reset the key cylinder, and even make me a brand-new key. Great workers and very welcoming! We need a place like this to be a bit opposite to big stores.
If you live in Fort Collins, this Ace (Old Town) store is a real treasure for us. They repaired a somewhat complicated lamp switch for me while I waited with the parts available and a very pleasant young man (Gabe or Gabriel) happy to install it while I waited in the peaceful downstairs patio furniture area (I will be saving for one of their grills, for sure!).
