Very disappointed with Accord right from the start. We have just bought a house, and just when we need all the money we can get for renovating and decorating etc, Accord insist on the first mortgage payment within 2 weeks of completion plus a massive mystery interest payment lumped on top. So most of our contingency money is now gone immediately. Most other companies will give you at least one month's sometimes more before taking the first payment. Shocking.
amazingly bad system got passed between 6 different departments with a really simple request.
If i could leave no stars i would. Mortgage approved in principal. Then asked for a new document almost every other day that went on for 4 weeks then closed the file with no reason. Total bunch of morons time waisters AVOID THIS SHOWER.
Been with Accord Mortgages for 18 years without any issues at all. Very happy with them, competitive rates, easy to understand options regarding taking out the next term of repayments. This is our last year paying off our mortgage so we've had long experience dealing with them multiple times and always had a good experience. Yearly paperwork shows all payments, dated, amount payed off and how much is remaining. Not really any need for an app when it's easy to log into their website to see all your details. This is an organization that should definitely be avoided and is not professional at all. They cancel your application without giving any reason, and on top of that they kept us waiting for almost 2 weeks... definitely stay away.
