I recently rented a car in Fort Lauderdale and planned to return it there. However, due to severe storms in Miami, I decided to return the car in Miami instead for safety reasons. The rental company assured me that this change was free of charge. Since the weather was awful, I didn’t get the chance to fill up the tank completely. As a result, they charged me $90.22 to refill half a tank of gas and an additional $25 for parking, even though when I refueled myself, half a tank only cost me $15.
