Knowledgeable and friendly staff get you on your way to the park. Enjoy easy roadside parking at stops. The glass enclosed vehicle makes you feel like you’re outside the entire trip.

I was hoping to rent one of these vehicles while in Acadia for a day. To my disappointment, I found the price to be almost TRIPLE their regular rate for this one particular day of the week...and ONLY on days when there is a cruise ship in port. This is called PRICE GOUGING and, if not illegal, is certainly unethical. Even the gentleman who works at the store was sympathetic and said he does not support this policy that puts profits over people.

Great way to visit the park a second time. Different than a car. Rented a 6-passenger for 4 hours for spouse and 3 adult children. Plenty of time for Park Loop plus lunch at Jordon Pond. Met the owner, and he went out of his way to make certain we had a good experience. Little things like Bluetooth speaker, backup camera and Velcro station for the map were evidence of his attention to customer service. It’s cool. Try it.

I arrived in Bar Harbor without any car (my mis take), and Gem Acadia was the perfect alternative to hike in the national park. I used it 2 days, it’s really convenient, easy to drive, easy to park, and the auto my of the battery is very long. You can do more than the park loop. The owners are really gentle as well, they were very kind and flexible. I recommend Gem Acadia for sure !
