My daughter has been attending The Academy at Gateway since she was 2 years old. She is now 5. She loves going to school, and we absolutely love her teachers and all of the staff. They love her and care about her. They have taught her to write all of her letters and made sure she will be ready for kindergarten. The Academy at Gateway is wonderful and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
Like "Lord of the Flies?" That's what the PK2 room looks like. The kids hit and disobey the teachers, and the new director only rounds on the room when I'm present (after a month of complaining of safety concerns). We loved this center for 18 months, and are heartbroken that they could not regain control of this room.
I have had the privilege of working for AOG for the past year and half. I could not ask for a better group of women to work with and work for. They are very kind and loving in regards to the children and very knowledgeable in the latest curriculum. If you are looking for a great place to send your children, this is the place to come!
The facility is new but disappointing. The class sizes are large and the teachers do not know how to differentiate their instruction for the needs of the students.
This is a small daycare center. Just a few years old. Nice building. Teachers are decent but not overly happy. Their prices are high. They should be paying their teachers more. Parking lot is way too small. Hard to pull out onto Learning Lane!
If I could give it a zero I would. I've actually worked in the academy and i really wish I never have. The biting and safely problems are always a problem. It's not even really the teachers fault it's management. I had seven biters in my class and I called and called up front crying and my manager told me to redirect but it didn't work. I tried literally everything and I didn't get any help. If you call out they get mad. In regards to Krista M's review, it could not be further from the truth. Our son has been attending The Academy at Gateway since he was 1 1/2, he's now about to turn 5 and we absolutely LOVE it! Not only do we love it, but our son loves going there and loves the teachers there. As far as the education he receives there....FANOMINAL! Yes the tuition may be a little $$$, but the curriculum they offer is far better than any child development center in Murfreesboro, hands down! The management has selected an outstanding staff to facilitate best instructional practices. I have two children enrolled, who have exemplified tremendous educational growth that has prepared them to be contributing students in their school of zone. The curriculum engages, equips, and empowers children to be successful life long learners.
Unfortunately, I need to edit my review... although I adore the teachers and facility, we had to remove our daughter due to safety concerns. Our child was bitten 4 times in 6 weeks by the same child. Biting where you could count teeth and see drag marks. Biting issues had been ongoing with this same child for the past year and a half... We have incident reports for more than 20 bites... and had been incredibly understanding (probably too much so)...
