I live not far from this building. Almost every day starts with a magnitofone voice recording that I hear even across the street with closed windows. I can only imagine how resilient this facility residents' hearing is...It looks like this facility is well kept from the outside, roads are being cleaned, it has nursing employees who potentially do their job well, as I saw them sometimes while walking my dog.
Rosalie, the administrator at Absolut Gasport is one of the kindest, more genuine person I know. She really cares about her residents and employees. It’s worth the 20 min drive from Amherst to be at Gasport, good leadership makes everything else fall into place.
My 82 year old mother is currently in this facility for rehab therapy for a fractured hip and femur. She is very fragile and can't walk on her own. She doesn't get timely responses when she presses the nurse button for assistance and more often than not she soils her bed & sits in it for quite a long time before an aide comes to clean her up & change her bedding. She had an incident where she had terrible diarrhea & was given 1 Imodium tablet & was then left unattended for over an hour butt naked on her commode. This type of... read more
