This has always been a lovely little shop with lots of curated items, but post renovation it’s been expanded really beautifully! Also I just want to say thank you specifically to the young British girl with the dark hair who carried my bags all the way up to my car near grilld because I had my new baby on me! She was so lovely and absolutely insistent on helping. She was very new at the business (literally only a few days in) but she was an angel! And the girls in the shop were generally super helpful. Great gift shop. I come here all the time and the staff are always so lovely and kind. Even when I’m not buying anything, I love popping in just to browse. One of my favourite little spots.
Unfortunately I was really disappointed with my visit. The shop itself has some lovely items, but the customer service was very poor. When I came in, the staff were all on their phones and didn’t acknowledge me. I believe the manager (a blonde, curly-haired woman) was especially unhelpful – her attitude came across as rude and passive-aggressive when I asked a question. Unfortunately, it made the whole experience quite unpleasant, which is a shame given the potential of the store.
I wouldn’t usually go out of my way to leave a review but I visited the the store this weekend and experienced terrible service. There was a blonde lady at the counter who barely acknowledged me when I went to pay, she overcharged me for my items and acted as if I had inconvenienced her when I picked up on it. She quickly grabbed the cash from the till and shoved it in my direction with no apology. I placed an order a the team contacted be to say there would be a delay as the item was out of stock do they wanted to check if I still wished to proceed. I then received a text message confirming when the item had arrived and to inform me that shipping details would follow. On receipt of my order I got a very pleasant an unexpected surprise with the inclusion of a candle thanking me for my patience and understanding. Now that’s what I call excellent customer service.
