I was recently hired to look at a client's books. This company was the company that performed my client's bookkeeping before I was hired. Looking at the books is a struggle. They clearly don't know what they're doing! In a whole year, not one transaction was reconciled, the chart of accounts is a mess, the general ledger is inaccurate, and I can't make sense of their transactions.
