Wow, same day service on a holiday. My old bike is awesome, but shipped from MI to CA and 2 years unused - it was not shifting. Now everything works great and way less than typical shops. Gotta love small business owner-operators. So glad I found Ray!
I ordered a bike online, but some parts were bent during shipping. I contacted 5bikes on Saturday, and Ray let me bring it in on Sunday and got it realigned the same day. Amazing service—and at a great price! Definitely give 5bikes a try if you live in the region.
I never have time to degrease and lube my bike, but Ray did a thorough job and also cleaned my bike. I also got a derailleur adjusted and shifting was a lot smoother after. Would definitely come back.
Ray is the proprietor of 5-Banks, and he is a very skilled bicycle repairist, troubleshooter and technician. Beyond his technical/mechanical skills, he is a great communicator and easy to do business with. 5-Bikes is a "Repair Shop" only. He does not have a shop full of bikes and accessories for sale.
