Great customer service
I stopped by today to return a gift I received—the pants were brand new with tags still on, but I didn't have the receipt. It was a gift from family they didn't have a receipt to give me and they didn't give the store there phone number or info. The official 5.11 policy online clearly states that gift items can be exchanged in-store, and store credit may be given without a receipt. So I assumed it wouldnt be an issue.
