I am deeply disappointed with the legal representation August Alexander received. While I understand that circumstances can change, the last-minute substitution of her original lawyer with someone unfamiliar with her case had a significant negative impact. Read before hiring : my family friend (August Alexander) spent $5K on a lawyer ( Chris Deanda) who didn’t show up to court and didn’t notify her. His office sent someone who wasn’t prepared and she lost parenting time. Not only did his firm not notify her, he was trying to make her sign over her rights the week before, her ex had domestic violence charges and drug abuse charges, and his law firm didn’t even come prepared to show this in court after my sister told them for months. If you are dealing with custody battles do not hire him, you will severely affected and disappointed; Chris Deanda is a dead beat attorney. My sister and her husband hired him, and he didn’t do his job on multiple occasions, tried to get her to sign her rights away and when she said she wouldn’t , he didn’t even show up to court, he sent someone he works with who didn’t know anything about her case, showed up to the court hearing with no paperwork, and she litterally lost time with her child. Do not use this law firm, they do not communicate at all. Hired this lawyer back in May, he didn't do anything including communicate with us. The only time we had any communication at all was the initial in take and then crickets. I have asked for an itemized bill to see where my $8,000 went since they definitely never spoke to us, or did anything regarding our case.
