Mary and her staff were fantastic and extremely helpful. The store was very well stocked with most things a thru hiker would need. Even many items that you may need to replace due to damage or even gear necessary for the upcoming mountains. I was surprised with how extensive their backpack, shoe and clothing selection is. I highly recommend 2 Foot Adventures/PCT Gear Shop for all PCT through hikers as well as any hiker that may need food or gear.

If you’re a PCT hiker coming through Julian, make sure you stop by 2 Foot Adventures Gear Shop—even if you don’t think you need anything. The shop is located upstairs; just take the outdoor stairs and look for the sign that says “PCT GEAR SHOP.” Mary and Charlie Brown have created an incredible resource for hikers. Mary the owner of the store is fantastic. Gives honest advice with a no pressure to buy attitude. She is a passionate hiker herself and seems to have tried and tested all the gear. I bought some great specialised ultralight hiking gear that has stood up to the test on the PCT. Thanks again! Happy hiking :)
