I just deposited a check that needed held for several days. Before I even got home I had a message from the branch manager Alaina. She verified the check and released the hold. She didn't have to do that, but I really appreciate it.
When it comes to the data breach from Marquis that happened August 14, 2025: Manager stated they WERE indeed notified of the breach but instead of letting customers know right away, The manager said, "He was instructed to not worry about it because Marquis will be sending out letters". 173 days since incident and I was finally notified... close your accounts here immediately
I have had great experiences at 1st MA CU with staff and over the phone at all different branches. I am very impressed and would encourage others to bank there.
