If you love bicycles, and especially if you love vintage bicycles, you absolutely must visit Eric at 1 OAK Bicycles. ("Vintage" doesn't mean antique, but 1970's and 80's.) Eric restores and enhances bikes to be better than they were to begin with. And you couldn't meet a nicer guy. Take a drive to Paoli, visit 1 OAK Bicycles, and you'll be glad you did.
On a long ride on the Badger State Trail and needed oil for a bike chain. They were so helpful and wouldnt accept any money. Hope a positive review helps business.
I met with Eric a few times this summer to put new parts on an old Trek 750 Multitrack (1990). He did an amazing job taking an old frame and getting brand new components on it. Was very receptive to feedback and any ideas I had while also having a variety of options to choose from. This was my dad's old bike but has been sitting in absolute disrepair for the past 5 years, so it feels nice to have something to use on the trails out here in the Madison area.
